Today it is rainy and cold in Milwaukee. It was so warm last weekend I had the windows open and even sat outside while the husband cleaned out the garage (a.k.a. Arctic Cat Snowmobile workshop). It was a taste of spring and now we are back to cold and rain with possible snow on Saturday.
**GIRL STUFF WARNING**
So, I went to the OB/GYN on Tuesday and I will be having two procedures on May 1st. I will be having a thermal ablation – to stop some bleeding issues and a Essure procedure as a form of permanent birth control. I will be in a “super twilight” type of sleep and will go home after they are complete. Day surgery to solve my two biggest health problems I’m thrilled! It’s been months since WWH and I have…uh hum…well….you know! Been a non-stop period since I started doing the depo shots over 5 months ago! Not the answer I was looking for, although you can’t get pregnant if you aren’t having sex so in that sense it works very well. NOT! The surgeon actually said “Well, you can still have sex while you have your period” when I complained that I was a newlywed and would like to have sex with my new husband. Was she serious? I said, "ummmm, not for me!". I talk to my girlfriends about it and they say “no way!”. She said it so plainly that now I wonder...
Only two more weeks till our trip to the casino. I’m very excited to be getting out of town for the weekend and plan on winning enough money to retire! HA!
