It's supposed to be a "free" day today. "Only comes around once every 4 years!" I've never known why we had a Leap Year, I've never really cared. But for some reason I've been hearing and reading a lot about it being a "free" day. Huh? It's not free! I'm still at work, I'm still responsible for everything I would do on a "regular" day.
It IS a regular day!
So, since I'm more aware of this day than in years past, I took the time to look it up and it was just as I figured, a way for us to stay in alignment with the earth's revolutions around the sun.
So why does that make it a free day?
I dunno but I'm in a blue mood today so I will jump on the band-wagon and try to do something different today.
But like what?
I heard on the news that people are actually suggesting you used this day to "clean up your clutter", or other domestic things like that. I find that b-o-r-i-n-g! If we are going to make this day special, you have to come up with something better than cleaning!
Maybe I should be doing something I've never done before? That's not exactly possible - I can't jump out of a plane today, now can I? Not in Wisconsin anyway, it's snowing, but what's new?
So what WILL I do? Probably nothing "special" or out of the ordinary but I will try to at least enjoy the day that only comes around every 4 years.
